In 2017 I was diagnosed with a dairy allergy. That is when I started exploring more dairy-free products. I have really enjoyed trying new recipes and finding ways to make old favorites dairy-free. Small choices can lead to big change and I love sharing easy ways for you guys to be able to incorporate plant-based, dairy-free, and whole-grain foods into your journey. I shop at my local Walmart weekly and love that I can find all of my favorite products at a really great value. I wanted to share a few of our favorites that I make sure always have stocked in our freezer!
John is a big fan of Amy's Kitchen Cheese Veggie Crust Pizza and Amy's Mac & 3 Cheese with Cauliflower Bowls! I will have to take his word for it since I can't have anything with cheese, but I love that I can have cheesy options for him that he can heat up and go!
One thing I have been craving massively during my pregnancy is southern comfort food. Marie Callender's Chick'n Pot Pie, with Gardein Plant-Based Chick'n has been one of my go-to's. It is beyond yummy and I love that it features one of my favorite meat alternative brands, Gardein.
Breakfast is either a huge deal in our house or we are grabbing it fast while we are sprinting out the door, there is no in-between. We recently discovered these Good Food Made Simple® French Toasts while perusing the frozen aisle at Walmart and they are so convenient that they provide a really nice happy medium when we have no time to cook! They come in two different delicious flavors! Good Food Made Simple® also has a Cauliflower Kung Pao bowl that is really tasty!
Now for everyone's favorite time of the meal, DESSERT!!! We have been buying So Delicious® products for years and even before we were trying to eliminate dairy from my diet. We LOVE these So Delicious® Dairy-Free Frozen Dessert Bars and even though John doesn't have a dairy allergy he prefers them over traditional iced cream. They come in Salted Caramel or Mocha Almond Fudge flavors, our favorite is the Salted Caramel but I always have both in our freezer.
No matter if you are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or just have an alternative diet, Walmart has so many convenient and value-driven options to help make your life easier! Walmart has easy ways to shop whether you prefer the in-store experience or online pickup and delivery! Do you have any plant-based favorites from Walmart that I am missing? Let me know in the comments below!
