Greetings friend, I am so glad you are here! I'm a Georgia-based business owner and content creator. In 2012 I was diagnosed with thyroid disease and it completely changed the way I approach life. My mantra is quality over quantity in all aspects of my life and I love sharing that philosophy with you.
My husband John and I had a baby boy named Rhett on New Year's Eve 2020.
My hobby is my little farm where I am Mom to seven rescue kitties, six chickens, three dwarf goats, two horses, and two Great Pyrenees puppies.
I am obsessed with my human and fur babies, coffee, and a good pair of jeans.
I believe in great experiences, whole healthy food (I'm gluten and dairy free), always having a great Netflix show to binge, and that the best things in life are either free or very expensive. The things I am most passionate about in life are my faith, family, friends and my fur babies. Moderately High Maintenance is where I share with you the best of what I find in my travels, recipes, style, and life.
John came up with the name for Moderately High Maintenance when we were first married, after five years of marriage he would say there is nothing “Moderate” about it 🙂 I personally think that people use the term high maintenance with such negative connotations, but when you think about it, is it really such a bad thing?
My ultimate goal is to add value to your life. Whether it's a recipe, travel guide, or story about our life, I want you to be able to take something away from each post.
Here are 5 things you may not know about me:
- My Sister has always called me Lolly because she couldn’t say Madeleine when she was a child.
- I'm a classical pianist!
- I love to scuba dive, but always get seasick.
- I love city life but also love life in the country with my hobby farm. My dream is to one day have cows!
- I’ll binge-watch a show in a heartbeat but I have the hardest time sitting through a movie.
Still here? Let's connect!
