When he isn't drinking his bourbon or whiskey, John really enjoys a margarita. (He made me put the part about bourbon or whiskey so y'all don't think he is soft) I personally think he makes an excellent margarita because it has just the right amount of tanginess but is still refreshing! We prefer to make margaritas on the rocks. This recipe makes one beverage, but can easily be doubled or tripled 😉
Start out by cutting your lime in half and coating the top of the top of the glass with lime juice.
Next, place the top of the glass in the margarita salt!
Add 3 oz of Tequila to the shaker that has ice in it. That's one of the big side of the jigger and one of small side of the jigger.
Next, add 2 oz of Cointreau to the shaker. That's one of the big side of the jigger.
Then, add the juice of half of a lime. If you don't have one of these nifty contraptions, get one because you will use it more than you might think!
Shake it all together!
Pour the contents into your salted glass and enjoy!
