Happy Friday Y'all! It has been a bit of a hectic week. I left on Sunday to head to Virginia for work and got back late on Thursday evening. Altogether it was a productive work week, but my hiney was definitely ready to get out of the car, plus there is just nothing like sleeping in your own bed! A lot of y'all have asked what we do with the fur babies when we travel and the answer is a little bit complicated. Sometimes my dad, the self-proclaimed Goatie/Kitty/Puppy Grandpa, takes care of them. However, the majority of the time we have someone who comes and stays inside with five kitties so they have someone to snuggle with at night and then we have someone who comes twice a day to take care of the goaties, puppies, and chickens. We used to just have one person, but since Edith needs some extra attention after the attack the outside caregiver is a vet tech and makes sure everything is going well! I hope y'all have had a wonderful week, just a friendly reminder only ONE MORE WEEK until Pumpkin Spice 😉 Without further adieu, here are my Friday Favorites in the form of Something You'll Want, Something You Need, Something to Wear, and Something to Read.
1. Something You'll Want
Poo-Pourri if you have never heard of it, Poo-Pourri is a before you go number two spray that magically makes your s#!+ not stink… I have a bottle in every bathroom that way no one ever has to feel self-conscious for letting nature take its course. I also love it when sharing a hotel room. Now to train the husband to use the Poo-Pourri…. LOL
2. Something You Need
Big ‘Ol Pot! Fall is so close and I just can't stand it. For me, this means big pots of soups and chili! We received this 8.5-quart pot as a wedding gift and I use it way more than I ever imagined. I have linked the one we have because it holds even doubled recipes and is dishwasher safe.
3. Something to Wear
Cute Fall Booties! I really love this cognac color for the transition from summer to fall. Cognac is light to still look appropriate with summer colors but can also be lovely with fall's warmer burgundy and mustard colors. This particular pair has a great classic silhouette and on-trend block heel. You'll be wearing these for years to come.

4. Something to Read
Zero Waste Home by Bea Johnson. This book is all about simplifying your life and reducing your waste. Zero Waste Home is so impressive because it's part story about how Bea Johnson transformed her family’s life for the better by reducing their waste to an astonishing one liter per year; part practical, step-by-step guide that gives readers tools and tips to diminish their footprint and simplify their lives. Now, there are parts that are SUPER DRASTIC and I do not have any intention of reducing our waste to one liter a year, but even if we reduce our waste by half I say that's a great start.
