I recently had the opportunity to travel to Dallas to celebrate the opening of the first ever Stella & Dot Pop Up Shop! For those of you new to Stella & Dot, they are a lifestyle brand whose mission is to give every woman the means to style her own life. I was first introduced to Stella & Dot by my best friend, Charlotte. She has a been a stylist with S&D for five years and rocks her business as her full-time gig. She suggested (many times) that I incorporate Stella & Dot into my business here on MHM and I am so glad I did. I have been wearing the product for years, so it made perfect sense for me to share it! Now, back to the Pop Up Shop! The Stella & Dot team did such a phenomenal job of bringing the brands feminine vibe to life in Dallas. I could have stayed there and sipped lattes/ champagne while chatting with my new friends all. day. long.
One of my favorite vignettes was the “behind the design” display where they showed the sketched designs from Blythe Harris, Chief Creative Officer & Co-founder. I loved seeing the concept in a sketched drawing, then seeing the finished product! After meeting and speaking with Blythe about the designs, you can tell that she and the award-winning design team put their hearts and souls into making sure each piece is functional and beautiful. They think about every detail, creating custom facets for each stone, beading by hand, and fabricating unique metal components you won't find anywhere else.
One of the other things that I loved was that they included a wall of retired pieces from previous collections! It's always so fun to see how style evolves over the years.
Overall, my favorite part of the entire trip was meeting and getting to know the other ladies at the Pop Up Shop. It is so apparent that Stella & Dot is a sisterhood of women who are all about empowering women to succeed on their own terms and that is something to be celebrated.
