Asian food is one of our absolute favorites. Unfortunately, soy sauce has gluten, so traditional takeout can be challenging. Not to worry, I would never let something like a little gluten get in the way of my favorite combination of flavors! My Slow Cooker Ginger Teriyaki Chicken the perfect recipe to try out my lovely new Calphalon Precision Control™ Slow Cooker from Target. Our entire household collection of pots and pans are from Calphalon and we have always been fans of the brand, that's why I am so excited about their new line of kitchen electrics.
Now on with the yummy recipe! Start by cutting two pounds of chicken breasts into 1-2 inch chunks. and Placing them in the Calphalon Precision Control™ Slow Cooker and seasoning with salt and pepper.
Stir together 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water and add it to the sauce. This is going to give the sauce that beautiful thick teriyaki sauce that really coats the chicken.
After you have added the cornstarch, place the cooking pot on the stove and set it to medium high heat. Bring the liquid to a boil and stir for one minute. One thing I love about this Calphalon Precision Control Slow Cooker is that you can conveniently sear, brown, sauté & slow cook all in one pot for maximum flavor. Cooking pot is oven safe and compatible with gas and electric cooktops!
Once the liquid is nice and thick, you can add the chicken back to the sauce and stir to coat.
Next, serve the chicken over rice or cauliflower rice and garnish with sesame seeds and fresh chopped green onions!
Enjoy your meal and know that cleanup is going to be a breeze!
