The New Year is a great time to start new healthy habits. I love kickstarting the new year with Whole30® because it cleanses my system and allows me to start fresh. John and I recently transitioned to a primarily plant-based diet, but doing Whole30® also kicks sugar cravings to the curb like none other. One thing I have learned on previous Whole30® journeys is that if you don’t plan ahead, you plan to fail. I’ve partnered with Ball® Home Canning to share a few of my favorite ways their jars help make my Whole30® journey easier.
Ball® jars have been around for an impressive 135 years! They improve the way we preserve food, organize our home, and even add character to our everyday drinking glasses. We always purchase the wide mouth Ball® jars that way all of our lids fit the jar regardless of oz.
As you can see, John and I are big fans because of how easy Ball® makes our busy lives.
1. Whole30 Tips: Make your Soups and Salads Ahead of Time
I love setting up a little salad builder station and making all of my salads for the week at once. It is important to remember to get a wide variety of veggies and eat the rainbow so that you can get a bunch of different nutrients.
I love topping my salads with shelled sunflower seeds and different nuts for protein.
I also love to make a big batch of veggie soup and store it in Ball® jars for the week.
I’ve found a ton of great recipes on Pinterest just search Whole30® soup recipes and get creative. Variety and trying new things is part of the key to enjoying your journey!
2. Whole30 Tips for Juicing
I am an avid maker of green juice and love incorporating juicing into my Whole30® routine. The perfect serving size is 16oz and I always store my juice in my wide mouth Ball® jars and just take my juice with me and drink directly from the jar. You can find my favorite green juice recipe here.
3. Whole30 Tips: Invest in Condiment Storage
Whether it’s a salad dressing or my favorite, homemade guacamole it is important to have Whole30® approved condiments with you on the go. I use 4oz Ball® jars to store pre-portioned condiments! You can also get these nifty Ball® leak-proof storage lids to make sure everything stays where it should!
Wherever you are in your Whole30® journey, I am a firm believer that Ball® jars will make your life so much easier and help you be prepared to succeed!
Y’all know I wouldn’t share my favorite products without sharing a great deal.
