As many of you may know, John and I are in the process of building a house barn or barndominium as we affectionately call it for our growing hobby farm! It has been such a fun process so far and we are learning so much about the construction process! I mean talk about a true #adulting moment.

We have been in the process of researching different types of energy and energy companies for our new property and I wanted to share a few things with you so hopefully, it will save you some time. Here are 3 things I look for in a service company.
1. Kratos Gas and Power's Competitive Pricing

When researching different types of energy for our project, we wanted to consider price as well as sustainability. We found that natural gas is the cleanest burning conventional fuel. The number of natural gas customers has grown over the past few decades, but natural gas consumption has actually decreased thanks to more efficient appliances. Natural gas is priced by the therm, and that is probably not something you are familiar with if you use electric power. One therm is equal to 100 cubic feet of natural gas but similar to electricity you are charged based on consumption. In Georgia, the natural gas market has been deregulated which means that different service providers can compete for your business which results in lower prices and better service.
2. Kratos Gas and Power's Excellent Service
Ok, I think we all have a story of a horrendous customer service experience. One time I sat on the phone with a robot for over 45 minutes just trying to speak to an actual human being. If you really want to know how to get my goat, it's by wasting my time. I promised myself that day that I would research a company's customer service reputation before ever spending a dime with them. Because of the deregulation of the natural gas market that I mentioned earlier, companies have to up their customer service game because customers have a choice. Kratos Gas & Power has a leading standard of quality and service in the energy industry.
3. Kratos Gas and Power's Community Involvement
As a small business owner myself, I understand the responsibility of giving back to my local community. Whether it's volunteering your time or money, we all have ways that we can contribute to the greater good and I love it when a company that I do business with does the same. Kratos Gas & Power believes in giving back to Georgia communities through their program Kratos Cares. Kratos Cares is currently partnering with Dekalb County Elementary Schools to provide take-home lunches to students in need. If you are going to be paying for a service anyways, I urge you to do some research and find out which companies are actively giving back to your local community.
If you are sitting here thinking you would love to switch to Kratos Gas & Power since they have competitive pricing, award-winning customer service, and a philanthropic corporate culture but the hassle of switching is a giant pain, not to worry! All you have to do is give them ONE call and they will handle getting everything switched over from your current provider. Easy, peasy. They are even running a 2-month introductory offer for new customers!
