What I Wore to a Spring Wedding

What I Wore to a Spring Wedding

Evaluating what to wear to weddings is always fairly difficult for me.  However, when I narrow it down I always consider time of day, venue, and time of year.   You do not want to dress more formally than the bride but you also do not want to show up looking like a country bumpkin.

I think it is also important to know your bride and her style.   Here is the conversation my sister and I had at this wedding:

Me: This is a hipster wedding, isn't it?

Meredith: Why yes, yes it is.

Me: I didn't consider this when choosing my dress.

Meredith: No, no you didn't.

Me: You look like you fit in here, Mer.

Meredith: Well yes, I made these earrings myself….

Spring lends itself to less structured/ flowing silhouettes, bright colors and lighter fabrics.  While it may not have been the best choice for this wedding, Lilly Pulitzer is always my first stop when looking for spring and summer wedding attire.  Here is what I wore for this spring wedding.

I love this Sabrina Beaded Shift Dress because the cut of the dress is so comfortable which made it super easy to walk around and more importantly, dance.  One added bonus is this great gold zipper on the back. It just adds a little pizazz.

I wore my favorite Kristin leather wedges in gold metallic.

The beading around the neckline on this dress is perfect for when you are traveling because you don't need a lot of accessories.

All I added was a pair of simple gold studs and one of my go to Stella and Dot Bracelets. Unfortunately, they have discontinued the bracelet I wore but I have included a swap that is approved by my style guru bestie, Charlotte.

This is what happens when you place your sister in charge of photography… You almost wet your pants from laughing so hard!

Unfortunately my dress is sold out, but here are several options that you can wear so you look fantastic at the next wedding you attend! Happy shopping, friends!  Disclosure:  This post is not sponsored or endorsed by any of the products or brands listed.  All opinions expressed are intellectual property of Madeleine Raiford-Holland.
